I started pet sitting as a side business in February of 2025.  At the time, I was still working long, overnight hours and took up pet sitting to get ahead a bit. I have always had and loved animals but overtime I realized no matter how tired I was after my shifts, spending time with each pet and their pet parents were never draining to me. I got to help families have a peace of mind when they work long hours or go out of town. I got the chance to meet so many pets and give them love and affection.

Pets are the core of "pet care", but forming connections and trust with their owners is something I value so highly. It took a while to trust myself but eventually, I took the leap in April of 2026 to leave my overnight job to pursue pet caretaking full time.

Caring for pets isn’t just about feeding them or letting them out. It’s about paying attention to who they are, what they need, and what makes them feel safe and comfortable. They feel emotions similar to how we do and I take the time to be fully present with them, so they feel cared for, not just looked after.

I know how much trust it takes to leave your fur babies with someone, and I carry trust that with me every day. I try to show up with patience, kindness, and a genuine heart for both the pets and the people who love them.

This work means a lot to me, not just because of the animals, but because of the relationships and trust that come with it. What started as a way to get by became something that genuinely changed my life, and I’m grateful for every pet and every person who’s been part of that journey.
